Wetton have an Environmental Management System which has been successfully audited and accredited in line with the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001 since February 2009.
In collaboration with ‘Carbon Smart’ the business is focusing on a number of direct Carbon offset initiatives, such as the replacement of 40% of our petrol and diesel fleet with hybrid vehicles.
By Working in collaboration with Carbon Smart, Wetton are able to offer all new initiatives, concepts and updates on projects to our managers and customers via a monthly newsletter and account management activity.
Our aim is to establish all available initiatives and investments from sustainable recycling facilities, new energy management initiatives and even eco-print facilitation and explore the opportunity to implement these new and exciting concepts within existing and new service delivery solutions.
We are conscious of the impact our service solutions have on the community and environment, we continue to strive to be a best in class supplier of specialist soft services and seek to support our carbon reduction programme and local communities by investing money and management time in championing good causes.
In the last three years we have supported a number of national and local charities; we have adopted and committed to supporting UK Youth & Shelter. In doing so, Wetton enter a team in to the Virgin London Marathon and Great North Run and are committed to raising thousands of pounds to further support the work and visions of these vitally important charities within our community.
UK Youth - provides educational assistance to young people through innovative non-formal learning environments. This work makes a significant impact in our communities by encouraging young people to take personal responsibility and become involved citizens giving a voice to people who are too rarely heard, whilst building skills for life.
Shelter - Tens of thousands of children in Britain are homeless. Growing up without a permanent home shatters their health, education and wellbeing. Homelessness leads to chronic insecurity, poor health, families at breaking point, and forces children to grow up on the edge of society. Shelter is committed to fighting these issues by raising funds and awareness.
